It takes only a 5 minutes boat ride. This place is perfect to do a drift dive if the current is good. You can find lots of overhangs and holes where the creatures are hidden inside.

Balito

Balito

This is one of our easy dive sites, ideal for beginners. After a 5 minute boat trip, we find the reef just offshore. The reef starts at 6 metres and goes to 14 metres. This reef offers the best opportunity for new divers to get comfortable under the water

El Pajar Wreck (Meteor II Wreck)

El Pajar Wreck (Meteor II Wreck)

In 2003 a Russian hydrofoil ferry sank. Its wreck lies on a depth of 15 meters and has been broken in many pieces which makes the wreck even more interesting. Many creatures hide themselves inside the several parts.

Mogán Wrecks (Cermona II)

Mogán Wrecks (Cermona II)

Two wrecks can be found here: the Cermona II and the Alagranza. Were old fishing vessels which are resting at a depth of 20 meters. The ‘Cermona2’ a 32 meter long fishing boat with a steel top sank in May 2002. An attractive and easy wreck dive.

Pasito Blanco

Pasito Blanco

The sea floor is like a rectangular morphology up to 60 meters wide and 16 meters high. Due to its different layers the site loses on height from south towards north starting at its highest at 17 meters.

El Cabrón Marine Reserve

El Cabrón Marine Reserve

This site has such a rich underwater world that it got nominated to become the future marine reserve in Arinaga. It goes over a beautiful rock formation at about 12m depth along a reef to the various cracks and caves down to 23m where you can find a huge variety of life.

La Cathedral

La Cathedral

“La Cathedral” is a cavern dive in the north shore where you descend to the sea bed at 12-14 m. The cavern then stretches down to 45 m, with light streaming in through the entry points above. Probably one of the most spectacular diving spots due to its sheer beauty and rock formations.

Bahia Blanca

Bahia Blanca

Just outside the harbour of Puerto Rico at the right we have the reef of Bahia Blanca. With a maximum depth of 15 metres this rocky reef is the best reef for beginners. There is no current and protected by the bay it is easy for doing exercises with the courses.

Arguineguín Artificial Reef

In front of the ‘Mountain sand’ at a depth of 23 meters on sandy ground are various structures placed all over which are now homes to aquatic life. Counting four different models of the artificial reefs or biotopes which offer great ground to go and discover. Created 1991

El Perchel

El Perchel

rocky drop that runs down to a maximum depth of 17m at the sand. The Wall has some sandy patches, which is a favorite resting spot for Angel Shark and Rays. There is a small cave at the start of the wall which is home rays, Big Eye and Snapper. This dive can be conducted either as a drift dive or when the RIB is at anchor

Sardina

Sardina

One of the most frequently visited dive sites can be found in the Sardina area of Galdar. It is a huge bay sheltered from the ocean’s relentless onslaught and the force of the wind, ideal for an initiation to diving, for lovers of submarine photography and for night dives.

Bahia Lila

Bahia Lila

Caleta Baja

Caleta Baja

Located in north-west part of the island. This place offers a great diversity of marine life such as mantas or shoal of horse mackerel. Two key point of this dive site is big cave and the nearby deep cut.

Risco Verde

Risco Verde

Located at the north end of Arinaga Beach, close to El Cabron. Peaceful and easy dive full of small fish. The entry and exit are fairly easy from a ladder. Seabed covered with carpet of algae. After passing the fringe zone at the edge of the sands, you can enjoy an environment full of small fish like damsell fish or parrot fish.

Tufia

Tufia

Tufia has been declared as a protected site in 1973 and a protected natural area by the government. Created by volcano, therefore you can see here layers of lava which were running into the sea. There are many caves and caverns to be spotted. A lot of marine life can be found

Taurito Cave

Taurito Cave

It is extension of Taurito Reef, features amazing canyons, caves and rock formations. Caves were created by lava which flown into ocean long time ago. Marine life is represented by Sting Rays or Common rays passing by or resting in the sandy patches.

La Gerarderia

La Gerarderia

We enter at the main entry of El Cabron and follow the wall going deeper and deeper. Where the wall meets the sand there is a good chance of finding garden eels, stingrays, spiny butterfly rays and angel sharks. At the deepest point, around 30 m, there is gorgonian coral. On the way back we can find big schools of sardines chased by predators like tunas, mackerels and barracudas.

Punta del sal

Punta del sal

Entrance is 500 m north of El Cabron. Diving here is only possible when the sea conditions are perfect. We dive over a plateau at a depth of 5 m where you can see big schools of sardines, nudibranches and Morray eels. After following the drop off to a depth of 27 m, can be spotted groups of big groupers, barracudas and in the sand angel sharks, stingrays and spiny butterfly rays. Dive site is rarely frequented by divers and therefore underwater life is more abundant then on any other dive site on Gran Canaria.

Playa de El Cabron

Playa de El Cabron

500 m south of main entry of El Cabron we find a small inlet created by the rocks which protects the entry point from the waves. We descent to 3 m and swim out where the rocks are covered in sponges and multicolored algae, then we meet the sandy bottom and turn to east to a max depth of 16 m. This is the easiest dive in the natural reserve of El Cabron .There is a nice drop off, small caves, angel sharks, rays, morrays, octopus, etc.
