Open Water Diver

Start your Scuba career with Delphinus Diving School in Gran Canaria.  

We will begin by Pool sessions in our heated pool located in our facilities, where you can slowly learn the very basics about 24 diving skills under direct supervision of a 5 star PADI instructor. After our confined water session you will be taken to the Open Sea where you will explore our beautiful canarian volcanic landscape with your PADI Pro Instructor.  

At the end of the course you will receive a life long license, valid all over the world, which allows you to dive down to 18 meters of depth.  

Who should take this course?

This course is a first step you should be taking if you want to become a Scuba Diver.

It is designed for beginners so there is no requirement for prior experience with scuba diving.

To sign up for PADI Open Water Diver course (or Junior OWD), you must be 10 years old or older, you need basic swimming skills and be in a general good physical health.

What will you learn?

The PADI Open Water Diver course consists of three main phases:

Knowledge Development (by eLearning PADI programs which will be assigned to you after purchase) to comprehend basic culture and terminology of scuba diving.

Confined/Pool Water Dives to learn basic scuba skills

Open Water Dives in our volcaninc ecosystem to train and have fun.
